To those who support our mission and vision:

What an honor it is to get to share this impact report with you! On behalf of the Somos Seattle team, and from the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you for your support and solidarity this year. Like many organizations, we’ve gone through some major changes, and the fact that you’re here, reading this, means the world to us.

We want to be real with you; this year was hard. Corporations took steps back on funding community projects. Our community witnessed a rise in ICE activity leaving so many of us scared for our loved ones. Families were pushed to their limits because those in power did not truly fight for them. People sought to extinguish our community in more ways than one.

But we’re still here. We persevered. We marched on. Because that’s what our community does. If something goes wrong, we figure out how to make things go right. Those before us didn’t give up, so we can’t either.

Now, we can’t just be here anymore. For years, our people have asked for acceptance and tolerance, and while progress has been made, this year showed us how easily that progress can be threatened. It’s no longer enough to ask for tolerance; our communities are under attack, and, unless we take proactive steps to gain power to defend, these attacks will continue until we can no longer defend.

How do we gain this power? By working together. By truly embracing each other. By building active communities, sharing resources and fostering spaces for learning and growth. Together, we’re unstoppable, but we have to truly be together.

As we move into 2026, we ask you to join us and our community partners in our efforts to further serve our community. We have a lot planned and we want you with us every step of the way.
