2024 - 2025 Accomplishments

Connecting 38 WA State DACA Beneficiaries with Family

Thanks to a partnership with Culturally Travel and a grant from King County, Somos Seattle is covering Advance Parole fees for 22 participants. By the end of 2024, we will have assisted 38 DACA recipients across WA State. This initiative helps DACA beneficiaries reconnect with their families and culture while also providing them with a legal pathway for re-entry into the U.S.—a crucial step in advancing their immigration process.

Somos Pride Scholarship

Thank you for your support and generous contributions. Somos Seattle is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders by awarding a $1,500 non-restrictive scholarship to deserving Latino students.

Investing in Latino students is vital because they represent a growing and dynamic part of our future workforce, community, and leadership.

Latinx LGBTQ Leadership

Latino LGBTQ leadership is vital for creating a more inclusive and equitable society. By bringing unique perspectives, these leaders help address the challenges faced at the intersection of ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Empowering Latino LGBTQ voices fosters stronger communities and drives meaningful social change for future generations.

Somos Pride Events

Seattle Latinx Pride is a powerful celebration of the intersection of LGBTQ and Latinx identities. This annual event, held every July, is more than just a festival—it's a vital space for our community to come together, celebrate, and access critical resources. With around 2,000-5,000 attendees, the event offers entertainment, music, and food while connecting people to valuable community services. Events like this are essential for fostering a sense of belonging, pride, and solidarity within the Latinx LGBTQ community.
